We shall systematically work our way through the breathing exercises in Bruce's first meditation book, 'Relaxing Into Your Being'. While not yet meditation proper, these exercises are the foundation of Daoist Meditation, 'Meditation Fundamentals' if you like.
The twelve breathing lessons presented throughout this book are designed to give you internal strength and to gradually enable your mind to settle and concentrate for long periods of time on whatever you chose. Moreover, this practice, done consistently, will awaken the energy of your lower dandien. (Relaxing Into Your Being, pp.38-39)
They also help to reduce stress and build stamina, since a strong breath directly affects the body's health and the mind's clarity.
This is an opportunity to practice and get working these powerful exercises, which many have read but few have practised for more than a few minutes.
This is a specific application of Longevity Breathing rather than a course on Longevity breathing, which I teach separately (see below). However you do not need to know Longevity breathing in order to attend the course.
Anyone who can breathe is qualified for this course.
