Referral
If you suffer from chronic pain and are interested in attending one of these classes, ask your doctor to refer you to the Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (ICATS).
For your GP to refer you into the Service they must complete this referral form and send it to Clare Tobin (who's address is on the form), supplying as much relevant clinical information as possible. Since there are several modalities available through ICATS (including Alexander Technique, Acupuncture, counselling and pain management courses), it is worth mentioning Tai Chi if that is what they think would benefit you the most. Clare will make you an appointment with a specialist nurse who will then refer you to the appropriate therapy. You must go through this process and not just show up at a Tai Chi class as we must have you in the system first.
